Probably not - but I can promise you that though they will be slow, updates to my writing will always come.
Behind the scenes, I have been doing a lot of work. Since my last post on this blog (what, a couple years ago now?) I've been making steady progress on all my longer WIPs. What can I say? The types of stories I write tend to involve a lot of world-building. I want that solid before I send it out. I don't want future stories to end up like Zone-E where I am not satisfied with the product after release.
While the long-form takes its time, I am trying to also broaden my skills by writing more short stories and even, sometimes, scripts! It's been over a year since I got to write a script that was actually produced for a podcast I have voice-acted in since 2020. (If you want to check out the podcast, it is called The Sheridan Tapes, the episode itself is called Traveler).
As far as short stories go, at the beginning of this year, I decided to jump-start my creative juices by joining a writing contest hosted by NYC Midnight. The contest gives you a new genre, subject, and character to incorporate into the story along with a new word limit and time limit to write your story within each round. I honestly didn't expect to make it past round one, but I did! My second round submission is under review, and the result will come in June. Once the contest is over, I will be able to share the stories.
I know this isn't a big update, but I am going to try and be more consistent here. I have a lot of writing in the works.
Until next time!
